WHAT TO EXPECT BEFORE THE WEDDING:Bermuda Bride will handle all administration, correspondence of letters/faxes and email, arrangement of services requested, meeting with vendors and suppliers, all disbursements and on-site coordination prior to and during the ceremony (and reception if applicable) and all legalities. Bermuda Bride will act initially as an advisor, you will make the actual selections and Bermuda Bride will implement your decisions. Once your wedding arrangements have been determined, a detailed timeline and account itemizing your services will be faxed or emailed to you for your review and authorization or amendment.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER THE WEDDING: Bermuda Bride will courier your Marriage Certificate approximately 2 – 3 weeks after the wedding. If you have had a videographer, the DVD’s take approximately 4 – 6 weeks and will be sent separately. The courier charges will be added to your final invoice.

DEPOSIT: For Bermuda Bride’s services, a non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your date. Bermuda Bride will begin planning your wedding as soon as the deposit has been received and cleared. After you have approved your proposal, a further deposit may be required to secure your vendors.

PHOTOGRAPHY: Bermuda Bride reserves the right to reproduce any photographs/ negatives/video taken on your wedding day for use in future marketing material. The negatives, photographs and DVD’s are for your personal use only. The photographs cannot be duplicated for commercial use without the express written permission from the photographer or videographers.

ACT OF NATURE: If an act of Nature, such as fire, flood, earthquake, hurricane or other natural calamity shall cause you to cancel your wedding, Bermuda Bride will require payment only for time and expenses actually spent. Likewise, if such an Act of Nature causes one of Bermuda Bride’s recommended suppliers to be unable to provide the agreed-to service, you will not hold Bermuda Bride liable. Bermuda Bride will do its best to substitute comparable goods or services.

If an Act of Nature makes it either dangerous or impractical to proceed, Bermuda Bride reserves the right to postpone the wedding. The Client shall be notified in writing immediately, or as is practicable of such postponement. Bermuda Bride will work with both client and vendors to ensure the wedding takes place as soon as it is viable. The Client agrees to indemnify Bermuda Bride for any and all reasonable fees and expenses without limitation.

OUTDOOR WEDDINGS: If the weather forecasts predict excessive gusts of wind or heavy rain, for your safety, Bermuda Bride reserves the right to relocate the ceremony and reception (if applicable). Work erecting tents, decorating tents with lights, material and flowers often begins either the day before your wedding or in the early morning hours. In the case of bad weather and out of courtesy to the vendors, a decision must often be made the 12 - 24 hours in advance. There may be additional costs involved if a wedding is relocated.

EXPENSES: A 10% administration charge is added to your final bill to cover all disbursements: (paper supplies for photocopying, letters, faxes and emails, local and long distance phone calls). It is not applied to food and beverages service at restaurants nor on the arrangement fee.

METHOD OF PAYMENT: Payments are accepted by personal cheque, certified bank cheque, Visa, Mastercard or American Express.  A 4% administration fee is added for all credit card payments.

CANCELLATION: You may cancel this contract for any reason in writing. If your wedding is cancelled or if you choose to terminate this contract, you will be responsible for any amounts that have been paid out on your behalf and all work carried out by Bermuda Bride up to the time of termination. All deposits paid to suppliers are non-refundable.

It is very important to the team at Bermuda Bride that we constantly and consistently meet your expectations. During the course of planning your wedding, if we jointly feel that Bermuda Bride is not the best consultant for you or if Bermuda Bride determines that your expectations or behaviour is unreasonable, Bermuda Bride reserves the right to cancel this contract in writing up to 30 days prior to the wedding.

PAYMENT: Payment must be received in full for all vendor expenses no later than 30 days prior to your wedding. If any payments are not received within this time frame, Bermuda Bride shall cease work on your wedding until payments are up to date. Where Bermuda Bride has been retained on an hourly basis, a seperate contract will be issued. Final payment on all outstanding balances must be paid within 10 days following your wedding before the Marriage certificate(s) are sent.
